Wedding and specialty vehicles often have minimum service periods. A lower hourly rate with a longer minimum can cost more than a higher rate with a shorter minimum. Ask for the minimum total that applies to the wedding date.
Vehicle type changes both price and function
Sedans and SUVs suit smaller groups, Sprinter-style vehicles suit guest or wedding-party movement and stretch limousines are often selected when presentation is part of the event. Compare the vehicle that solves the trip rather than the cheapest rate in isolation.
Waiting is part of many wedding bookings
Photography, ceremonies and receptions include periods when the vehicle may not be moving. Ask whether waiting is included in hourly service and how point-to-point transfers handle delays.
Compare taxes, gratuity and extra charges consistently
Ask whether the quote includes taxes, gratuity, parking, airport fees, tolls if applicable, split-service charges, requested stops and overtime. The lowest advertised number is not useful if major components appear later.
Guest shuttles should be priced by the complete route
A shuttle may make several loops between a hotel and venue. Provide the planned departure times, passenger count and final return schedule. One long service window and several fixed transfers can produce different totals.
Get a written confirmation
The final confirmation should identify the date, local pickup times, locations, vehicle category, service period and pricing basis. If exact vehicle appearance matters for photographs, confirm that requirement too.
Split service can change the quote
Some wedding itineraries need a vehicle in the afternoon and again late at night, with several unused hours in between. Providers may price that as continuous hourly service, two transfers or a split arrangement with its own fee. Describe the actual gap rather than assuming the vehicle can disappear and return without affecting pricing.
Peak dates can affect vehicle availability
Spring and summer Saturdays, graduation season and major event weekends can reduce the availability of specialty stretch vehicles and large vans. A provider may have different minimums on high-demand dates. Exact-date pricing is therefore more useful than a generic rate seen months earlier.
Vehicle substitutions should be part of the comparison
Mechanical issues can happen. If a specific limousine style is essential for wedding photos, ask how the provider handles substitutions and whether an equivalent passenger-capacity vehicle is the only guarantee. That policy can matter as much as a small difference in price.
Budget for the full transportation weekend
For weddings with airport arrivals, pre-events and hotel shuttles, the wedding-day limousine may not be the largest transportation cost. Put all movements into one budget so airport and guest logistics are not treated as last-minute extras.
